This wonderful example of a porcupine fish could certainly be the twenty-third species of the tropical inhabitant of the coral reef. Luise Terletzki-Scherf designed the fish figure that is only six centimetres in height in such a fanciful way in 1958. Apart from its marked turquoise blue colouring and the pink coloured striped fins, the 'Diodon terletzki-scherfensis' has an additional, unmistakable feature: its black big wide eyes are framed by eyelids that are painted with 24 carat pure gold.
